<p>The Canucks are looking to trade for a second line centre, and will likely need to replace Brock Boeser and Pius Suter, both of whom are slated to hit free agency on July 1st. There are other parts of their roster they may be looking to upgrade as well. No matter how many moves they make, one thing is clear: the Canucks are going to need to get creative &#8212; and lucky &#8212; if they hope to get back to being a serious threat to win their division like they did in 2023-24.</p>
<p>While most assume that will mean trading future assets and prospects, it&#8217;s certainly possible that the Canucks look to shake up their roster by trading an NHL player or two. Two players that fall under that category were featured on Daily Faceoff&#8217;s latest trade targets list, courtesy of Frank Seravalli. Here is what Seravalli wrote about Thatcher Demko and Elias Pettersson (the forward), who came in at 18th and 20th, respectively.</p>
