The 19-year-old defenceman, acquired by Calgary in a trade earlier this year, has been a key addition to the team&#8217;s blue line. He&#8217;s currently on pace for 46 points this season, just shy of his career-high of 53 set last year.
Mynio&#8217;s overtime winner, his 10th goal of the season and fifth with the Hitmen, showcased his budding offensive flair and clutch scoring ability. He also added a primary assist in the game.
Despite serving as captain for the Seattle Thunderbirds, Mynio was traded to Calgary after representing Team Canada at the World Junior Championship. He hopes to contribute to a Memorial Cup run with a strong Hitmen team, currently tied for first place in the WHL&#8217;s Eastern Conference with 59 points.
Now in his fourth WHL season, he has amassed 124 points (35 goals, 89 assists) in 209 games and already has a championship title under his belt, winning the WHL championship with the Thunderbirds in 2022-23.
