The <a href="https://canucksarmy.com/combinations">Vancouver Canucks</a> have traded defenceman Carson Soucy to the New York Rangers for a third-round pick, according to multiple reports. According to Daily Faceoff&#8217;s Frank Seravalli, the third-round pick in the deal is the one the Rangers acquired from the San Jose Sharks earlier on Thursday.

The Canucks sent a memo out to all 31 teams that Soucy was available via trade earlier this season. Soucy had to waive his no-trade clause in order to facilitate the deal.
Soucy is signed through next season at $3.25 million annually. The Canucks signed Soucy to the three-year deal in free agency back in 2023. While the first year of the contract was a success for both Soucy and the Canucks, Soucy&#8217;s play has dipped this season.
