<p>The Canucks will travel approximately 42,500 miles through the air as they head across North America during the upcoming season, putting them just behind the Montreal Canadiens and ahead of the Buffalo Sabres in the overall rankings.</p>

<p>Baseball and hockey data analyst Thomas Nestico recently shared the full 2024-25 NHL travel rankings to social media, where they were picked up and amplified by B/R Open Ice on Sunday. The list in its entirety is below.</p>

<p>Although the NHL&#8217;s Pacific Division is heavily represented in the top half of the list, the Canucks actually project to have the least taxing schedule of any Pacific team. They ranked behind the No. 3 Anaheim Ducks (51,000 miles), No. 4 Edmonton Oilers (50,000), No. 6 Seattle Kraken (48,200), No. 8 Vegas Golden Knights (45,900), No. 10 Calgary Flames (44,400), No. 11 Los Angeles Kings (44,100), and No. 12 San Jose Sharks (43,400).</p>
<p>Unsurprisingly, the top two teams in the ranking — the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars — are located in relatively remote southern markets that don&#8217;t have many nearby geographical rivals. Florida&#8217;s only next-door neighbour is the Tampa Bay Lightning, while Dallas just lost one of its closest teams in the Arizona Coyotes.</p>
<p>However, with the Coyotes relocating north to become the Utah Hockey Club, many of the other Central Division teams will have to travel less to get to Salt Lake City as opposed to Phoenix. While Utah HC is expected to have the fifth-hardest travel schedule in the league, the Colorado Avalanche, Nashville Predators, Chicago Blackhawks, and St. Louis Blues all finished in the bottom half of the list.</p>
<p>The 10 teams with the easiest travel schedules in the league this coming season are all located in the Eastern Conference, with the Pittsburgh Penguins slotting in at No. 32 on the list with just 31,700 miles to fly in the 2024-25 campaign.</p>
