<p>Mancini, 22, was just acquired from the New York Rangers as a piece of the JT Miller trade. Vancouver also received forward Filip Chytil and a 2025 top-13 protected first-round pick – which was then flipped to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Marcus Pettersson and Drew O&#8217;Connor.</p>
<p>The 6&#8217;3&#8243; defenceman was a fifth-round pick by the Rangers in the 2022 NHL draft. After starting his draft plus-one year with the University of Nebraska-Omaha, he joined the Rangers&#8217; AHL affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack. Mancini played seven regular season games, registering three assists and adding three more assists in his 10 playoff games.</p>
<p>The Michigan native made the Rangers&#8217; opening night lineup out of training camp. Mancini played 15 games with the big club, providing a physical presence on the blue line, adding five points, including his first NHL goal.</p>
<p>Despite remaining on Vancouver&#8217;s roster since the trade, Mancini has yet to make his Canucks debut. Abbotsford plays tonight against the Colorado Eagles, where he could make his Canucks organization debut.</p>
<p>Karlsson, 25, was just sent down to the minors on February 5th, in a move that saw <a href="https://canucksarmy.com/news/vancouver-canucks-recall-nils-aman-ahl-abbotsford-reassign-linus-karlsson">Nils Aman rejoin Vancouver</a>. Abbotsford had a game last night, but Karlsson did not suit up for it.</p>
<p>The Swedish forward earned his call-up after catching heat in Abbotsford. He scored in four straight games, with six goals and three assists for nine points over six games.</p>
<p>His stint in Vancouver was short but memorable. Karlsson played just seven games but potted his first NHL goal, playing on an all-Swedish line with Elias Pettersson and Nils Höglander. The goal stood as the game-winner and stands as Karlsson&#8217;s lone point on the season with a plus-1 rating, eight shots on goal averaging 9:59 minutes of ice time through nine games.</p>
<p>It remains to be seen whether or not Karlsson will draw into the Canucks lineup for tonight&#8217;s game against the <a href="https://canucksarmy.com/news/vancouver-canucks-game-day-hope-make-three-row-toronto-maple-leafs">Toronto Maple Leafs</a>, as Aman remains on the club&#8217;s roster.</p>
