Although, strictly speaking, it&#8217;s not a piece of designer clothing like the one Silovs owns, the Canucks&#8217; version of the shirt is available online for just $48 CAD and is available in five different sizes: small, medium, large, extra large, and 2XL.
The product description on the Vanbase website reads: &#8220;Show your spirit with the Vancouver Canucks Paisley Tee. This stylish tee features a unique paisley design, perfect for standing out in the crowd at your next Canucks game. The original shirt was designed by Hugo Boss and <a href="https://www.hugoboss.com/ca/en/interlock-cotton-t-shirt-with-paisley-print/hbna50505517_630.html">retails for $179 CAD</a> on its online store, although it currently appears to be sold out. It&#8217;s unclear whether or not the Canucks consulted with Hugo Boss before releasing their own version of the tee.
Silovs&#8217; shirt drew mixed reviews when Miller wore it onto the ice at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville back on May 2.
“I mean, he has to know better,&#8221; Canucks defenceman Nikita Zadorov deadpanned to Sportsnet&#8217;s Dan Murphy after the skate. &#8220;He’s not going to a nightclub in Riga.&#8221;
“I guess they liked it so much, they wanted to bring it on the ice,&#8221; Silovs said, with a laugh. “I knew it was coming, but it looked good on him. Something different than every single day.”
Silovs, 23, has come a long way with the Canucks since having his name misspelled on his jersey during a preseason game years ago. The Latvian netminder backstopped the Canucks into the second round with three consecutive starts against the Predators and is expected to man the pipes for Game 1 against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night.
