The Canucks&#8217; TV schedule was released late Tuesday morning, with Sportsnet confirming that last season&#8217;s regional broadcast team of John Shorthouse (play-by-play), Dave Tomlinson (analyst), Ray Ferraro (analyst), and Dan Murphy (host) would be returning for 2024-25. The schedule release also confirmed rumours in the spring that claimed some games would be moved from Sportsnet to Amazon&#8217;s streaming service, Prime Video.
The NHL signed a deal with Amazon for the next two seasons. The deal will feature NHL games on Prime Video every Monday called, Prime Monday Night Hockey. The opening game on the platform will take place on the first Monday of the season, as the Pittsburgh Penguins travel to Montreal for a date with the Canadiens.
The schedule highlights one Canadian team each week. The Toronto Maple Leafs have the most games on Prime Monday Night Hockey with six, followed by the Montreal Canadiens and <a href="https://canucksarmy.com/news/canucks-flames-4-3-undefeated-2024-young-stars-classic">Calgary Flames</a> with five, the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers, and Winnipeg Jets with four, and the Ottawa Senators with just three.
